Roger Hadfield of Milton, Ontario, has owned this beautifully restored Stampe since 1975. He is a retired Air Canada captain flight supervisor in charge of standards and training, former Canadian aerobatic champion and the father of astronaut Chris Hadfield. C-GOMD is seen over Letchworth State Park near Geneseo, New York.

Affectionally nicknamed “Ma’m’selle”, this colourful 1949-vintage aircraft, msn 16, is a regular visitor to summer airshows.

With its 130-hp Gipsy Major engine, the Stampe bears a superficial resemblance to the Tiger Moth.
